Blooming Magic: Peony Farm Mini Sessions in the Heart of Alaska

Every July, something truly magical happens in Alaska. For just a brief moment—one to two short weeks—our state bursts into bloom with one of its most beloved and iconic flowers: the peony. Known for their lush, full petals and romantic charm, peonies have become incredibly popular across Alaska, and it’s easy to see why. Their fleeting beauty makes them all the more special—and the perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos.

This summer, I’m once again offering Peony Farm Mini Sessions at one of my absolute favorite places: Wildberry Meadows, a stunning family-run flower farm nestled in the heart of Alaska. I’m so excited to be partnering with Sierra and her family, who lovingly care for the land and these beautiful blooms. The farm is actually their home, which makes it an even more intimate and unique setting for photos.

Because of the private nature of Wildberry Meadows, the only way to visit is by scheduling with a photographer or event planner—so these sessions are truly exclusive. Each session is a chance to explore the vibrant rows of blooming peonies, soak in the summer sunshine, and create timeless images filled with color, joy, and the unmistakable feeling of Alaska in full bloom.

And because these sessions are so special, Peony Minis is the only mini session I offer during peak photography season. With wedding weekends, senior sessions, and travel taking up much of my summer calendar, these are a rare opportunity to grab a quick, beautiful session with me during the busiest time of the year.

All session types are welcome—families, couples, maternity, seniors, and lifestyle portraits. (The only exception is weddings, which require full-day coverage and a separate booking process.)
